THE HELLBILLYS
"Torture guards" CD
(Nickel and Dime record.com, Release DATE: May 2006)
Rather interesting mixture here, because are members of DEMENTED ACRES GO and CHRISTIAN ON PARADE to works. And in such a way the 15 Songs then also sound themselves. Psychobilly meets «80er-Hardcore meets Rockabilly! In addition now and then double bass on speed Metal basis. Musical influences of both volume are to be noticed really clearly, whereby the Psychobilly portion lies nevertheless somewhat more highly. Can even present to me, which MISFITS Ghouls can be angefixt! ăTorture guards "came 1995 for the first time on the US label ăRansom note record "raus and now on ănickel and Dime record "as rem aster was again-published. An extremely alternate-rich thing, although it is absolutely not my sound TRACK. Nevertheless, goes already somehow into order.

Hellbillys : Torture Garden CD (Nickel and Dime Records)
I really enjoyed the "Cavalcade Of Perversions" best of 45s comp from these San Francisco psychobillies, who's been around since 1989. "Torture Garden" is a re-release of their 2nd LP of 1995, no frills punkabilly with some metal influences, I mean, "Demons" sounds like Metallica's "Motorbreath" with double bass slappin'! This is incredibly uncool and silly rock'n'roll, which gives it a wonderful charming we-don't-give-a-fuck-about-trends feel.
If you dig: Meteors, Guana Batz, Demented Are Go

HELLBILLYS:
Torture Garden: CD
A reissue of one of my earliest and favorite psychobilly memories, 1995's Torture Garden is just as good as I remember it. Rumbling, thundering, gory goodies that feel like a neck being crisply snapped from behind. A good, strong thrust of timeless classics like "Bondage A Go Go," "Bucket 'O Blood," "Useless Man," "Nitro Ghouls," and Elvis' "GI Blues." Originally on Ransom Note. HELLBILLYS "Torture Garden" CD
(08/10) (30:04) (Robert Noy) OX-FANZINE #86
